Sustainability
Across the entire Building Product Design group, we are investing in sustainability and working on ways to improve the operational efficiency of our business. We have recently achieved accreditation to the ISO 50001 Energy Management Standard and putting in place new systems to track recycling levels and energy consumption across our two UK based manufacturing facilities.
UK Based Manufacturing
For almost 40 years, Building Product Design has been at the forefront of developing innovative construction products, building ventilation and specialist building products from its UK manufacturing facilities. We have a wealth of experience in the manufacture, assembly and distribution of construction products. This is all done from our two sites in Nottingham, England and Merthyr, South Wales.
The sites host a wide range of manufacturing and finishing services along with industry-leading research and development, and in-house product testing. Operations include rolled goods, fibre spray glue and thermal lamination along with light engineering and general assembly. We employ 220 people across the two sites and the head office in Sale, Greater Manchester.
Design & Innovation
At Building Product Design, we have industry-leading research and development capabilities along with robust testing facilities.
Our product development programmes are focused on innovation, regulatory change and specific customer requirements. Anticipating and keeping ahead of industry changes is vital for us as we look to support our customers through new standards and regulations, as well as challenges such as meeting sustainability and energy efficiency targets.
Our expertise and facilities mean we regularly collaborate with customers on ground-breaking net zero projects as well as using cutting edge design to create bespoke products for high profile projects.
Service & Support
All three divisions of Building Product Design pride themselves on their technical ability and excellent customer service to customers. We use our manufacturing expertise and technical know-how to provide a wide range of value-added services including technical support at the specification stage, including U-value calculations, condensation risk analysis, bulk airflow calculations, design guidance, take-offs and structured quotes, and many useful online resources. As part of our technical support package, BIM models of many of our products are available to specifiers on NBS Source and bimstore.
For our customers, providing good aftercare is crucial. Customers know that our technical teams are only a phone call away and full technical support is provided without charge. With specifiers facing stricter regulatory challenges, we can assist with guidance on new legislation and providing reliable technical information.
For large projects, our highly experienced teams have all the necessary site clearance and qualifications to commission and service the installed equipment.
