Research & Testing

BPD has its own UK based development and testing facilities, which are used as part of our BS EN ISO 9001 accreditation for Quality Management systems including design and development.

The company invests heavily in research and development to keep abreast of changing regulatory and technological requirements and sits on several British and European Standard Committees.

In collaboration with leading universities and other industry bodies, the company has been involved over many years in several important research projects, including NatVentTM an EC/EU funded project involving nine partners across seven countries, co-ordinated by the Building Research Establishment (BRE), and in sponsoring a DPhil at UMIST/Silsoe Research Institute.
