APRIL 08 - ENHANCED OPTIONS FOR PRINTING AND CONVERTING



Greater flexibility for conversion of roll material is now attainable following investment and installation of new technology.

Building Product Design- a UK independent printer and converter of woven and non-woven polypropylene, paper and other polymer-based roll substrates- has added another new 3m wide converting machine at its Merthyr Tydfil, S Wales, operation. The new kit compliments the existing 3m wide two-colour printing line with full width print heads, and 3m and 2m wide conversion/slitting capabilities, providing optimum flexibility in both printing and converting.

BPD believes its high speed equipment’s capability to accommodate roll material up to 3m wide is a rarity within the UK.

Bruce Newman BPD Business Development Manager, says, “The new line enables us to further improve service to customers, giving them greater flexibility over printing, slitting and rewinding of their materials. This gives our customers peace of mind as well as high quality service.”
