DECEMBER 06 - UNIQUE NEW PRINTING AND CONVERTING FACILITY

A new source for conversion and printing of roll goods, claimed to offer unique facilities, is
available as a result of investment by Building Product
Design in advanced facilities.
The company, one of the UK’s leading suppliers
of printed construction membranes including applications
for roofs walls and floors, has acquired a roll handling
facility capable of printing, slitting, rewinding and
converting a range of materials including paper, plastics
and similar substrates.
The modern facility, based in Merthyr Tydfil, South
Wales, includes multiple, high speed conversion lines
and two-colour printing facilities that can handle rolls
up to 3m wide- believed to be unique in the UK.
Bruce Newman, BPD Business Development Manager for the
new unit, observes, “We have a reputation for providing
innovative solutions and quality. We wish to extend that
service to new customers, offering high quality, flexibility
and fast turnaround on a cost-effective basis.
“Master rolls of varying materials, weight and thickness can be printed in one or two colours, across the entire width up to 3m if required, giving an ideal opportunity for promotion of brand names and corporate logos in clear, high quality graphics. Material can then be slit and converted into finished rolls which can be labeled, packaged and palletized to customers’ requirements.”
Full details of the service are available from BPD tel 01685 383338,
